A Couple Months After the First Post in 2016

Turned out I'm not as consistent as I hope I would. Oh well..

Hello again.

Back in March I wrote that I'll update the blog with postcards and snail mails I receive, but it's been a while that my mailbox is lonely. Nothing came.

However, there's been a turn of an event. Here is the update :D

In the last week I got 3 postcards and a notification letter from post office. The notification letter is something they usually send to you instead of the parcel/package because you need to pay for some custom-thingy fee, so you need to go to the post office to fetch your parcel/package.

There is a postcard which my sister sent from Japan. It took a hella long time. She was in Japan in April, but I got her postcard last week. Plus from all of the postcards she sent, only one reached me safe and sound. I'm raising my eyebrow and sceptically looking at you, Indonesian Postal Service. Here's how the postcard from her looks like:

A shaped postcard known as gotochi.

The stamp.

Another one is a postcard I won in a giveaway on Facebook's Postcrossing group. I forgot when the giveaway was, but the postcard had arrived a couple days after my sister's postcard :) Here it is:

Giveway postcard which shown a red Vespa.

The stamp and cancellation postmark.

Last but not least, a postcard from Matte when he was on a holiday with his family in Wrocław. Such a nice city, I myself have been there 4 years ago, it was lovely. The postcard shows Wrocław's famous dwarfs that can be found around the city. Here's how it looks:

Multiview postcard showing many Wrocław's dwarfs.

Apparently, the postcard was sent from Gdynia.

I think that's all of the update for today. I'll write about the notification letter from the Indonesian Postal Service in another post. It's a long story about that.

Nowy Sącz, Poland.

A postcard from Daniel shows his hometown; Nowy Sącz :) On the postcard you can see the Town Hall, main church, ruin of castle, and old centre of culture -- based what he wrote to me XD

Envelope and stamps.

Poland, Galeria Bałtycka.

Widokówka from Mateusz shows the picture of penguins and seal. He wrote that it was taken in Łeba and I kinda believed him. Eh -.- This postcard has a really big size, almost as big as 15" laptop screen :O

Stamps.

Another Mail from Adam.

After I back to my boarding house in Jogjakarta, I found a note that saying I gotta take a package to post office in 2 weeks or they would send it back to the sender. I thought it was package from Mateusz, turned out it was from Adam :D Yey! The package was with 4 postcards of Gliwice, Sosnowiec, Częstochowa, and Tarnów; many used stamps; 2 Jeżyki Classic; one chocolate with fruit which name I don't remember; and a letter :)

Poland, Warsaw's Mermaids.

The postcard that was sent by Chris shows 3 Warsaw's Mermaids. Getting this card put me back to those good memories I had in this city. Oh how I miss Warsaw.. The card also in the first August batch of little hill of postcards in front of my door. I really like the Dzień Flagi stamp too :)

Stamps.

Gliwice, Poland.

A multiview Gliwice postcard was sent by Aleksandra :) It shows Gliwice castle (the biggest picture), Town Hall (on top right corner), and churches.

Stamps.

Poland, 3D Lighthouse.

What a coincidence! I got another 3D postcard at the same time I got one from Mateusz. They both are Polish and both of them sent me "Pozdrowienia Znad Morza" 3D series :D Nice! This one with lighthouse was sent by Kasia. She wrote the messages in Polish language and the only thing I remarkably noticed was "gofry i lody" (= waffle and ice cream) :P

Stamp.

Poland, 3D Dolphins.

Another postcard from Mateusz, and this time it is a 3D one! :D I only showed half backside of the postcard (with address and stamp) because I don't want people to read the private messages he wrote to me. I usually don't mind showing the messages people wrote on the postcards, but I don't want to share something private and with the inside jokes xD Haha.

Stamp.

Poland, Bears and People.

Postcards from Mateusz sent in envelope :) He also sent one British coin and 2 Czech ones together with the postcards. He wrote he was confused to choose which one of the postcards he should send to me, but in the end he chose to send both because I like polar bears and people in traditional costume and folklore. I definitely like the stamps he pasted on the envelope! :D

Stamps.

Poland, Wesołych Świąt.

This Christmas card sent for Christmas last year and yes, I got it last week xD It was sent to my home address in Bandung and I just got back home last week so yeah I got it pretty late. And Pan Tadeusz address it to my passport "official" name instead of to Ayu Supriadi. That's why I blackened it -.- It also got the Tadeusz's humour: no pierogi for you, but here's a Christmas card! xD

Envelope.

Favourite stamps.

Wejherowo, Poland.

This Wejherowo postcard was sent by Matte, alongside with Jeżyki and Mleko Zagęszczone Słodzone (a condensed milk in tube which you can carry everywhere) xD I got to take the package to post office because one of the mleko tube was leaking and ruined the envelope. And yes, the postcard was covered with milk and I had to wash it. The result of washing postcard wasn't so bad. There was also a letter, which sadly, I had to throw away 'cause it wasn't possible to wash it - I tried, it got worse :( Got it on June.

After wash.

Before wash.

Package.

Toruń, Poland.

A postcard that was sent by Martyna shows the night view of Toruń seen from the left bank of Vistula. She wrote in Polish and I could understand the message 70-80% only xD I got the postcard on May 18th, together with postcard from Jenny.

Stamp.

Kraków, Polska.

It shows the map of Kraków. You can see the Stare Miasto and Nowa Huta, which I've visited by the way. Also the famous Wawel dragon :D This postcard was sent by Justyna on 17th March and arrived on the 30th :) Took only 13 days!

Stamps.

Stołowe, Poland.

A postcard that Mateusz sent me from Gdynia (it's stamped Gdynia xD). Now it also makes me think; the title should be where the postcards are sent from, or the place that's on the front side of the postcard, or where the senders live? I don't know what is the best, so for now I'll write the title based on where the postcard was sent from.

So! The postcard from Mateusz has unusual size, it's 30 centimeters long. I've never seen this kind of postcard before so I was beyond happy when I saw it xD It shows the panorama view of Stołowe which he visited on Winter Break. It was nice of him to ask for my address and said that he has special postcard he wanted me to have. After 11 days of traveling, this postcard arrived under my door on 20th of April together with postcards from Tony and Yolanda (:
